Hi, I’m Lola! Creative Director and Sales Rep here at Bloomstone Jewelers. Welcome to the behind-the-scenes peek into one of my most memorable days on the job, filled with rain-soaked adventures, breathtaking pageant queens, and the nonstop buzz of making cinematic moments happen.
Picture this. It's 7 am, bags in hand, rain pouring down, and my boss Constance leading the charge—that’s how our day started. It was one of those early mornings where you just know it’s going to be an adventure. So cue us rushing through the airport, trying not to slip and drop all our baggage. Despite the rush, we thankfully made it to our flight on time. There we met up with our multitalented photographer/cinematographer, Leroy (aka the brains behind the magic). A quick flight later, we were in Syracuse, ready to hit the ground running.
Once we arrived, the energy was palpable. The Miss Earth team—from hosts to producers and everyone in between—welcomed us with open arms, making it easy to jump right into the day’s work. The theme of the shoot was all about honeycomb and buzz, think warm gold tones and a “queen bee” vibe. What made it especially interesting was the challenge the contestants faced: they were stripped down from all the usual glam, asked to showcase the jewelry in a more natural, effortless way. The real test was who could best pose and bring the pieces to life without relying on the typical pageant glam. It was raw, real, and absolutely exciting to watch.

As Bloomstone Jewelers’ Creative Lead and sales rep, I had a dual mission: capturing all the behind-the-scenes bits and helping style the contestants with our stunning pieces. Balancing these roles during a high-energy shoot was a blast and so worth it. It was clear these contestants were total pros. The moment we yelled "action," they didn’t miss a beat, serving looks and showcasing the jewelry like they’d been doing it forever. Styling them felt effortless because they brought such energy and presence to every shot.

Now, let’s go back to Constance. Not only is she my boss and the owner of Bloomstone, but she’s also a star. This day was extra special because of her feature on the upcoming show, Pretty Down to Earth, which premieres on the Queen Beauty Network on June 5th. This reality show will give viewers an exclusive look into the Miss Earth USA pageant—and trust me, you’ll want to mark your calendars. Bloomstone Jewelers is proud to be a sponsor of a pageant that connects with our belief in uplifting women and the environment. We can’t wait for everyone to see how beautifully our collaboration comes life on screen.
Constance and the contestants wrap up an unforgettable shoot in style.
After the shoot wrapped, it was time to pack up and head straight back to the airport. A same-day round trip might sound exhausting, but the thrill of being part of something this special made it all worthwhile. Traveling with Constance and our talented photographer, Leroy (check him out at @repoststudios), made the experience even more memorable. On the flight back, we were so excited we couldn’t resist looking at the photo proofs right away—even though the flight attendant scolded us for having our laptop out. Leroy’s eye for detail and ability to capture moments in real-time ensured this shoot will wow everyone when they see the final images.

Whether it was running through rain, catching our flight, or pulling off a jaw-dropping shoot, this day was one for the books. So stay tuned for the premiere of Pretty Down to Earth coming this Summer 2025 , and keep an eye on our socials for exclusive behind-the-scenes photos. Let me tell you—you’re not ready for how stunning these shots are going to be.
